Snow Ice Cream
Alexa normally goes to preschool on Thursdays but today was a SNOW DAY! I thought we should do something different and fun but didn't know what. Then we heard someone mention Snow Ice Cream on TV and decided to give it a try. We put a bowl in the backyard to catch the snow and make sure we gathered only the clean stuff (nobody likes yellow snow after all). A few hours later, our bowl was full and we went to work.
To make Snow Ice Cream (or how we did it anyway):
Ingredients:
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup milk (I used skim)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 cups of snow
Directions:
Mix together the sugar, cream, milk and vanilla until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the snow until you get the consistency you want. I used a mixer and made it pretty creamy. Add whatever ice cream toppings you want.
ENJOY!
